Hallo, I’m Tania
Those closest to me call me MomzeeT, and you’re warmly invited to do the same.
I’m a proud mom of three amazing humans, and now a very proud grandmother to an amazing little granddaughter who has added a whole new kind of joy to our family. I’m also mom to one very lovable dog-baby.
My family is my pure joy and my happy place. My heart is as wide as the ocean, and family, in every form, fills it completely. 💕
Stories have always been part of me
Stories have been my doorway to wonder for as long as I can remember. With older siblings often busy doing their own thing, books and imagination became some of my closest companions. Through stories, I could go anywhere. I could wander into magical worlds, meet extraordinary characters and imagine that almost anything was possible.
I read. I performed. I created adventures. I even taught lessons to my dolls and my dog, Witvoet, whose name means “white foot”. Somehow, imagination always made my world feel bigger, brighter and richer. Today, I get to create those worlds for other children.
There’s another side to MomzeeT
When I’m not wandering through imaginary gardens with Amy or wondering what Tom might get up to next, there are a few other parts of my world that mean a great deal to me.
I give time to work that is very close to my heart, encouraging people through difficult seasons and helping them look ahead with hope. There is something incredibly special about seeing someone begin to believe that tomorrow might hold something better.
I’m also a businesswoman, and much of my work has centred around helping people think differently, ask better questions and see possibilities they may not have noticed before.
Perhaps all these parts of my life have more in common than they first appear. Whether I’m writing a story, working with someone, offering encouragement or pottering around in my own garden, I love watching and experiencing growth.
My garden really is one of my happy places. I love the colour, the unexpected little visitors, the first signs of new growth and those quiet moments when you stop long enough to notice something beautiful that wasn’t there yesterday.
When the day finally slows down, you’ll usually find me cooking, reading, laughing with my family, enjoying time with my dog-baby, or simply being grateful for one of life’s tiny wonders.
The people behind my happiest place
For all the worlds I love creating, my favourite place will always be wherever my family happens to be.
I’m a mom of three, and now a very proud grandmother too. Watching my children become the people they are, and seeing a brand-new little life begin her own story, has added another beautiful layer to what family means to me.
We’re not a picture-perfect family, and I wouldn’t want us to be. We laugh, disagree, tease one another, gather around food, share stories, celebrate the good things and find our way through the difficult ones too. Those ordinary moments are often the ones I treasure most.
Home is where I recharge. It’s conversation around the table, something cooking in the kitchen, laughter carrying from another room, a dog nearby, and the comfort of knowing these are my people.
Perhaps that’s also why family finds its way so naturally into my stories. Children grow through the people around them, through love, mistakes, encouragement, boundaries, laughter and belonging.
And when I think about what makes me happiest, it really is very simple.
Love, laughter, family, and the little moments we sometimes forget are the big ones. 💕
Why I write for children
I write because I believe stories can help hearts grow strong. They can nurture kindness, courage, gratitude and compassion. They can help children recognise their fears, celebrate their happiness, understand their choices and discover that even very small acts can make a very big difference.
